How it works
From hospital to home
Most of our patients are Medicare beneficiaries going home from a hospital or skilled nursing facility. Their physician orders the equipment, and we make sure it's there.
How it works
Going home from the hospital or a nursing facility with new equipment? Here's what happens.
- 1
Your doctor orders it
Medicare-covered equipment starts with an order from your doctor, often written before you leave the hospital or facility.
- 2
We call you
We confirm the order and your coverage, then call you or your family to arrange delivery.
- 3
Delivered and set up
We bring it to the home, set it up and show you and your caregivers how to use it safely.
- 4
We're a phone call away
Questions, adjustments or something not working right? Call the office.

For families
Getting the home ready
- Clear a path from the front door to the room where the equipment will go
- Pick a spot for a hospital bed near an outlet, with room on both sides for caregivers
- Measure the doorways the wheelchair or walker needs to get through, especially the bathroom
- Have the Medicare card and any supplemental insurance card handy
- Know which doctor ordered the equipment, and have someone home at delivery
About Medicare coverage
Medicare Part B covers durable medical equipment your doctor orders for use at home, from a Medicare-enrolled supplier. After the Part B deductible you generally pay 20% of the Medicare-approved amount. Call us and we'll explain what applies to you.
Not using Medicare? You can still buy equipment.
Call the office to buy privately. We'll help you choose the right equipment and arrange delivery.
Does Medicare cover this equipment?
Medicare Part B covers durable medical equipment such as wheelchairs, hospital beds, walkers, canes and commode chairs when a doctor orders it for use in your home and it comes from a Medicare-enrolled supplier. After the Part B deductible you generally pay 20% of the Medicare-approved amount. Supplemental insurance may cover some or all of that. Call us and we'll explain what applies to you.
How do I get equipment through Medicare?
It starts with your doctor. Your doctor (or the hospital or facility discharging you) sends us the order, and we take it from there.
Can I buy equipment without Medicare?
Yes. If you'd like to pay privately, call the office and we'll help you find the right equipment.
Do you have a showroom?
No, we're not a retail store. Equipment is delivered to your home. Our offices are at 1938 N Batavia St, Ste G, Orange, CA 92865 and 5025 S Ash Dr, Ste B16, Tempe, AZ 85282.
Do I rent or buy the equipment?
It depends on the item and your coverage. Medicare rents some equipment, buys some outright, and lets you choose for others. Some rented items become yours after a set number of payments. We'll tell you which applies.
I'm a discharge planner. How do I send an order?
Email the order to Intake@mobilitydme.com or fax it to (888) 852-6570, and we'll take it from there.
